Meet Shelby

So here she is. The newest part of our family. She's eight years old, so not quite a puppy still. Appears to be in really good health, though a bit on the skinny side (good thing Carbiener's now how to fatten someone up). The owner seemingly had had a rough time as of late, and knew that it was best for the dog to part ways. And we're excited about having her.

Trying to figure out what to do when we went to bed.

So you just couldn't wait huh? Sometimes I wonder what goes through that head of yours (besides the wind). She looks pretty and I am sure she will become an important part of your life but a newly wed student that lives in a very small apartment and is thinking about leaving for the summer to go to work in the Carolinas?? Doesn't add up to good sense here. I love dogs and especially Boxers. Hope you both do too.

So Mom & Dad-
I was kind of like you at first- "What?!!" But. They don't have to train her. She's doesn't need puppy shots. She doesn't have adjustment issues. She doesn't slobber. She's super chill and friendly. Brad&Brea spend way more time at home than lots of dog owners. She was free-ninety-nine. She needs Carbiener love and food. All in all, I think there's not a better dog they could have gotten. Or a better place for her to be.
So, yes, I really love that dog already. (I met her last night.) Here's to my brother and sister choosing decent not annoying dogs.

Ok! I talked to Brad and got the WHOLE story of little Shelby! You know that I wouldn't want Brad to get a dog because I'm mean, I just have a hard time treating a dog much different than a human and SOOOO it is a lot of work. Also Christin, the previous owner said he doesn't know when Shelby last had shots. I love dogs to have a yard and lots of love. The love part Brea and Brad can handle very well!

P.S. Tell Shelby "Grandma" will take her to McDonalds for a hamburger when I visit next month.

Tell Shelby "Grandma" will take her in BRADS car and not ours. If she drools like Hogan in the drive through window you'll need a roll of paper towels!

Welcome to the world of dog ownership... however it is way more like just adding another member to the family. Congrats.
