First Married Trip

A few months ago we decided to take our first trip together, so off to conference we went. I drove through the night like I have the tendency to do, made it to Salt Lake and checked into the Hotel Monaco, which happens to be a Kimpton hotel, and also happened to be barely over a hundred dollars for the night, along with parking, and a voucher for parking. It was awesome and they were so friendly. Though I might have not realized the office building next to us could see so well into our room. So there is a chance that a man sitting at his desk saw me naked . . . sorry!!

After picking up Brea's wedding dress from my parents and having lunch with them at Red Lobster, we got ready and visited temple square. We ate a quick dinner at Bambara and then to the Off Broadway theater for my third time. And it was funny, like always, and Brea loved it.

Saturday morning started off a bit rough, but we got ready, got to temple square with our sign at 9:31, five seconds later, someone gave us two tickets. It was really such a blessing. It was a really neat experience to be there.

After the session we checked out and headed down to Lindon to see the Hackings. It had been a few years and it was so good to see them. After lunch we watched conference there, then went for a little walk with them around the neighborhood, then President and I went to priesthood. It was such a humbling experience to see him again and spend some more time with him and his wife, and I'm so glad they got to meet mine.

We changed hotels, and it was really nice. We had a nice morning watching the morning session, and then got a reminder that hanging the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door isn't quite enough . . . next time we will remember to close that extra security latch.

After spending the afternoon around temple square, we headed back to normal life.

Doesn't she look important?

Looks like it was a good trip all the way around. The guy in the next building seeing you naked and a real surprise for the housekeeping person ignoring the Do Not Distrub sign. Wow! I bet that was EXCITING! (for all involved). It was nice to see you two again, enjoy the lunch at RL and to see you still all in love and stuff. Glad you got to see the Hackings too. Just reading that part made me tear up a bit remembering when we picked you up from your mission. Good times, good times! Don't make this the last time you take that pretty daughter-in-law of mine on a trip. Next time you may want to continue 200 miles and come and visit? That road goes both ways you know! :o)
