Better Business

I have been known to do a fair amount of business through retailers that, though cheap, may not excel in customer service.  This includes individual sellers from eBay or craigslist.  It was nice however that when I bought Brea her expensive heels I bought them from Nordstrom's.  The first week she was out in Texas (maybe the fourth time she has worn them, we noticed the sole separating on the shoe, and not just a little.  Though the super glue has held the shoe since then, I told Brea to call and complain, and that she would get taken care of.  A phone call later there was a gift card one the way for the purchase price of the shoes, which ended up buying me two new shirts from Nordstom Rack and Brea two new MAC lipsticks.  Sometimes bad things turn out good.

I made a rather lengthy comment on this at work and because the firewall was hacked they had some special stuff on it and when I tried to publish the comment it disappeared. So I said in essence that I never have any luck like you in getting things. I thought this until I bought mom her new car. Because the car was not delivered until 2 weeks after the promised date I requested they compensate us with some wet weather mats that retailed for about $100. They refused but did give me a free oil change and tire rotation for my "non-Toyota vehicle". I started laughing because the non Toyota is the Ford F-250 diesel that has a 15 quart oil capacity and the filter costs about $25 at Auto Zone. Now when I went to get it done they did hedge a bit since I run synthetic oil in my truck BUT after a brief discussion they relented and I received about $170 in oil and services on them. Seems to me the all weather car mats would have been a much better and cheaper choice for them. However, my truck is basking in it's free oil at this time. I of course am smiling big time at the score of my week!

This and dad's story are glorious. Nothing like free Nordstrom money. BTW, I have $20 to there I need to spend...
